NOTIFICATION OF THE ABOLISHMENT 149 TOWN COMMITTEES HAVING LESS THAN THE 50000 POPULATION

The Government of Punjab, Local Government, and Community Development Department has issued the Notification on 12-02-2021 in connection with Abolishment 149 Town the Committees having less than the 50000 Population. Details are the under:

NOTIFICATION OF THE ABOLISHMENT 149 TOWN COMMITTEES HAVING LESS THAN THE 50000 POPULATION:

Whereas section of 15 of Punjab Local Government Act 2019 has been amended vide as the Punjab Local Government (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021 and the consequently the 149 Town Committees, having the population less than fifty thousand (50,000), stand abolished;

2. Now, Therefore, notifications Dated 05.11.2019 regarding the demarcation of local areas issued the under section 8 of
   PLGA, 2019 and Notification Dated 07.11.2019 for constitution of local governments under the section of 15 of PLGA, 2019 shall be deemed to have been the amendment in that of manner.
